What a wonderful weekend we just had!! 68 degrees on both Saturday and Sunday. We spent most of both days outside, enjoying sun on our faces for the first time in what seems like months! Saturday started off at Hands On childrens museum in Hendersonville. Next stop was dropping Stephen and Benjamin off at the park while I hopped over to a consignment store looking for baby stuff that we are in need of. I unfortunately sold many of Benjamins baby stuff last year as I was trying to declutter our home. Hadn't really thought out that I might need it again :)
The afternoon was spent in our backyard, followed by our usual Saturday night pizza and a movie.
Sunday we again headed out to the park and then hit up The Hop, a local ice cream parlor. I indulged my pregnancy cravings and ordered a banana split! I must say, it was amazing!! Still hard to believe I am almost 20 weeks along. We are officially on the countdown to our appointment on Tuesday to find out whether it is a boy/girl. Can hardly wait!

snow, snow, go away
When I moved to Asheville from Ohio almost eight years ago, I thought I was surely moving to sunny days and warmer weather! Boy was I in for a surprise! It seems every December-March we get tons of snow, dreary days, rain and of course lots and lots of school cancellations!! When schools close, Benjamins Kids Morning Out program also closes, which is such a bummer. Asheville doesn't seem to be prepared for any amount of snow, small or large. Being from Ohio, things start to close only when there is at least 6 inches on the ground. Here, we have a 1/4 inch and the town whole town shuts down. With that being said, we have spent lots and lots of time indoors this winter. Benjamin is such a busy body we have had to come up with lots of new fun and exciting activities to keep him occupied inside. Here are a few shots of our latest activities. Enjoy! :)

I created this blog almost two years ago and never made it past one entry. This year my resolution is to get crackin and start recording our memories, stories and day to day happenings in our life. I have always kept a journal, but since having Benjamin over 2 1/2 years ago, I have completely neglected it. I have been inspired by all my mama friends who blog, and have decided this will now be our family journal.
I will do my best to keep weekly updates with pictures, progress on Benjamin, Stephen, myself, and of course this growing little bean in my belly!
